Last time this happened, fortunes were made…

Perhaps you were one of the people who came to know Peter Spann and Freeman Fox in the early 90′s. Maybe you were one of the many clients who used the strategies that Peter taught to build your own wealth…

If you were, then you’ll know that every decade or so, we see critical factors align to create a good environment for building wealth. And what we have now is even more unique… a market that, having suffered such large falls, has enormous ground to make up as well.

A new cycle – a new opportunity for you to build YOUR wealth

What we are seeing now has many of the hallmarks of one of the great wealth building opportunities that come around every so often. These are the times when fortunes can be made for those who are prepared and participating. Conversely, they are times when those who are not can be left behind holding assets that simply aren’t able to keep pace with those that are in full recovery mode.

Yes, times like these are make or break times. And the key to “making it” is setting yourself up well so you can take action when the time is right.

This is not just another circuit of the economic clock, it’s a situation that many people have never experienced in their lifetime… a situation we may never experience again in our lifetime!

This is your “once-every-now-and-then” opportunity

In an extensive And, because it is such a critical time for investors, he’s going to present his most popular seminar again to give you the strategy and tactics you’ll need to make the most of the opportunities you’ll have to build your wealth in the coming months and years.

You’ll get the strategies he and thousands of clients have used to build wealth in the past as well as even more content that he’s prepared especially for today’s investing environment.

For just $98 you can be there and get Peter Spann’s wealth creation strategies first hand. Please, don’t miss this opportunity to attend the expanded Welcome to Wealth in your nearest capital city.

Somedays things come into your life as a gift from the universe – like the words below that I spotted in a facebook statud update and just had to share with the world.

“Dream Big, work harder. Have lots of fun, lift a finger, do something for someone else. Cheer your friends on. Cheer yourself up. Celebrate as much as possible. Enjoy everything. Right now. It’s OK 2 want more and do more but be present with where u are or who u are with. Don’t rush the situation-even if it’s bad. Move on when u can. Don’t settle. Try everything”

Today I remembered about a fabulous book I read a while back when I was suffering a bout of procrastination-itis….  Eat That Frog by Brian Tracey.

In alignment with the current book I am reading  “The 4 hour work week” made me really question how much of our days we spend doing the non important stuff, the stuff that seems important but really, it wouldn’t make a huge difference if it was never done at all.

Years ago I was lucky enough to spend some time with Olympic Gold Medallist Natalie Cook, when she spoke about the focus and determination required to Go for Gold at an Olympic level, she managed to take it down to just one simple question “Is this _____ taking me towards or away from my goal”

A great and simple procrastination buster, let go of the non important, non critical and start living – after all that’s what it’s all about right?

Work to Live – what’s important to you?

Design ’09 all you need is a pen and paper, get yourself in a comfy space where you will not be interrupted, perhaps pop on some nice inspiring music and write… For each of the following topics, write in the first person as if its already happening.

Once you uncover your ideals, look at how you can turn those into a solid goal and how you can build a plan around that to give yourself the best chance at achieving your desired outcome for 2009.

For example – Finance – I am living in my dream house, I have enough money coming in to cover my mortgage, investments and living expenses with enough surplus cash to continue to take the holidays I want and buy the things I love, which is the freedom in life I am looking for. I also have enough surplus cash that I can buy my dream car and take the family on an all expenses paid trip to the most awesome place on earth, have a cupboard full of gold and do what I want when I want with who I want, whenever I want….

OK so remember, dream and think big on this – as Napolean Hill’s famous quote says – Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, you will achieve.

This excercise is great when you repeat it over each of the area’s on the wheel of life, listed below.
• Finance – Wealth and Finance
• Recreation – how you recharge your batteries
• Relationships – family and friends
• Life Partner – lover or spouse
• Spiritual – what do you believe in on the greater scale
• Physical – Physical well being
• Mental Genius – continued growth and learning
• Contribution – what legacy do you want to leave in this world? Contribution can also relate to your career and what difference you are making.

Most importantly – Have Fun, cut loose and dream big.

NOW here is the fun part, take a look at the resolutions you may have written prior to this excercise and see if you can start to create a game plan for your 2009 resolutions and if you have something covered off for each of the area’s on the wheel of life.

Jornada has some changes that we commit to making as a part of Design 09 as well. This year we are looking to make your event registrations easier through an online booking system, open up the world of social networking creating a space for you to connect with fellow event attendee’s through facebook and the biggest thing is this year we will be changing our image and name to reflect more upon what we aim to deliver for you.

Keep an eye out for Freedom Events which will be rolling out over the first half of 2009.

The time has passed where excuses used to cut it, there is no more room in business these days for complaints of the past like – I dont have the man power, my staffing costs are too high, my people are full.

At the click of a button you can now build an entire virtual team in under 24 hours and sooner if you really get going.  The power in this is MASSIVE – if you choose to use it.

It means the soletraders can now afford to operate with bunches of support people encouraging them to grow and get on with the things that only they can do in their business.  Oh yeah – but I cant afford that!  What – with people looking for work starting from just $1.37 USD and hour, how can you not afford to tap in on this global level.

As your self the question – at $1.37 or even $5.00 USD per hour – how many people can you replace your self with in one hour!  How many small things can you outsource, buying back your own valueable time.

People there may be a credit crunch – but the world is about with opportunities, put on your glass half full rose coloured glasses and take action.

Grab a coffee and check out www.odesk.com.au perhaps it contains the solution you have been looking for :)

Getting the Ferry to the office each day across Sydney Harbour is not the most hideous of transport, in fact its really pleasant.

This morning as the “regulars” filed on and we all took our usual seats, two small girls got on, dressed up in their hot pink dresses, with their favourite toy on their way into to the city for a day at work with day.  As the ferry pulled a way from the wharf – the squeeled with excitement, overwhelmed by how much fun it was, getting spritzed with a little bit of water as we sped towards the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge bathed in the morning light.

How cool, to find such incredible Joy and Excitement in something so many of us take for granted.

You cannot keep determined people from success.
If you place stumbling blocks in their way, they will use them

for stepping-stones and climb to new heights.”

Mary Kay Ash (1918–2001)
Saleswoman and entrepreneur

(sent to me from www.justsell.com.au – a great sales website)

At 16 I was a full time dance student and I experienced a moment that I now recognise had a significant impact on my life.

I can recall it as clear as day, we were in class working a group routine for a show that was coming up soon.  There was a move that was particularly challenging and I made the comment “I can’t do it” BOOM!  Right then the teacher threw himself on the floor and appeared to be having a heart attack or fit of sorts, it went for ages and was scary.  Once it was all said and done, he got up and walked over to me, stood right in front of my face, so close I could feel his breath on my nose, pointed and said “I am allergic to the word CAN’T and I never want to hear ANYONE use it again”

Sometimes ”can’t” sneaks into my head and sometimes out of my mouth, and I have never used it since without thinking about my teacher and that moment!

At 18 when I was about to give up dancing because I didn’t think I could make it, my mother gave me one of those credit card size quote cards to keep in my purse, I found it today while I was detoxing a box in the spare room.  It’s dated 1994, it’s now back in my purse, perhaps I needed a reminder :)

A Winners Creed

If you think you are beaten, you are;

If you think you dare not, you don’t;

If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t,

It’s almost a cinch you won’t.

If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,

For out in the world you’ll find

Success begins with a persons faith;

It’s all in the state of mind.

Lifes battles don’t always go

To the stronger or faster hand;

They go to the one who trusts in God

And always thinks “I can.”

Thanks Mum, it’s served me well and I hope now that it serves other’s well too.  Life is all about mindset, what you put in good/bad, positive/negative is what you get out.

Dare to Dream

There are million’s of great products available and million’s of providers so why do some sink and some swim?

People say that I am crazy trying new things right now, launching new programs, using new technology… maybe I am.

Here’s the thing, I honestly believe with everything in me, that if people make the effort to invest in themselves by attending Jornada’s seminars, then I know that if they pay attention, come ready to learn and leave ready to take action, that the investment they make in themselves to attend would be paid back to them over and over.  here’s the Caveat………only if they are ready to step up, take action and be ready to drive themselves or their business to a new level.

An extraordinary life is waiting for all of us, we just need to be prepared to grasp opportunities as they are given to us and take action.

How many opportunities do you truely grasp and run with every day?

Abba has a very famous song called I have a dream, starring in the hit Mamma Mia.  They sing about taking on the future even if you fail and how the dream itself helps them get through life as they head towards their final destination, they sing about their beliefs and how they are supported in those decisions – actually very wise words and an interesting thought process.

When was the last time that you truly dreamed?

When you sat down with a pen or a whole set of coloured pens and imagined, wrote or drew your fantasy life, the life where there are no obstacles, and the life where you and you alone control your destiny.

If you had a dream, that was so BIG and perhaps so crazy – what would it be?

Dreaming is important in the creation of an uber successful life; The Law of Attraction is no longer a secret following the hit “The Secret”.  Manifestation is being discussed on wider terms – although many are still skeptical – it works.  What you think about and dream about all day long is what you become.

In Nelson Mandela’s Inaugural speech in 1994 by Marianne Williamson, he reads

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Who are you not to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?

This is your time, it’s time to dream big, time right now to find a quiet space, perhaps with some inspiring music playing to get out your pens, to daydream and to write and draw your ideal life.

Your playing small does not serve the world – it’s time to step up and unleash your potential into massive action.

Once you know your ideal life, this is where BHAGS come into play, this is where you create the Monster Goals that support you and you start to think about how to make it happen, remembering what you think about all day long is what you get.

BHAGS are Fun!  The Big Hairy Audacious Goal – the one thing in life that sometimes you don’t even dare imagine it could possibly come true, when you think about it a tiny self knowing smirk pop’s up on your face and you begin to smile.

So, right now this minute you have a choice you can think small and get small or dream of an extraordinary life and create an outstanding BHAG that forces you to smile!

So most of us are smart people right?

At least we like to think we are intelligent enough to make good decisions for ourselves.

If that is the case then why is it that we so often do a behaviour continuously when we know that it doesn’t serve us?

Take being healthy, most of us have had it drilled into us that to be healthy you just need to exercise and eat in accordance to the energy you expend each day.

So if it’s that easy, why is it so challenging to get to the gym and refuse the pizza or ice-cream when it’s offered?

Denis Waitley at a conference we held in Africa in 2007 has a great presentation, all around do it now.  So if you think something Act on it, save the clutter and do it now.

With all the economic crisis and bad press now is not the time to stick your head in the sand on any topic, well actually there a few times when ignoring things will help you in the long run.

So my challenge for you (and myself) this week is to grab that list of “stuff” to do out of your head, clean the clutter and just do what you know is good for you.

One Questions that will help you prioritise :

1. Will this take me towards my goal or away from my goal

Entrepreneurs Masterclass ran over the weekend and was a massive success, we helped over 70 business people rediscover their passion and purpose in business and in doing so reminded me of mine.  How cool is that!

Over the years of attending seminars and events ( a hazard of working in a seminar company) my purpose has been refined over the years, it started out that I just wanted to help people and as I have grown up, matured and learnt more, my purpose has become clearer.  I realised on Saturday at the event that the purpose I had set all those years ago was true and happening.  Funny how things can sneak up on you!

Jornada’s purpose is to create opportunities for people to gain skills and knowledge to enhance their lives through educational events. We are here to create the space for that to happen.

Through passion, determination and sheer grit anything is possible.  The fulfillment from achieving your passion, your purpose is phenomenal.  I realised somewhere along the way I could make a bigger difference to the global outcome but thinking and dreaming big.  From the famed Nelson Mandela speech “your playing small helps no one”  Dream big people, more things are possible in this lifetime than you could ever imagine.

I am so excited, this morning I truly discovered what amazing things can be achieved by being surrounded by awesome people.

People say in business “It’s important to get the right people on the bus”  imagine you already had the right people on the bus – you just didn’t realise or appreciate them.

Recently I have had a massive learning curve around my attitude, I was like a bull at a gate, frustrated the world was not running with me at the harsh pace and expectations I had set myself.  After recogniseing that this helped no one – especially not me, because I was constantly cranky.  I decided to shift my focus -To change me – not try and change the people around me.

The difference has been phenomenal.  Together with the appreciation of others, the world is my companies Oyster (and mine)!

And the best bit….  It feels great!
